My story
I'm Simon, an award winning kitchen designer and the owner of DISCOVER kitchen interior design. I have over 20 years experience working in kitchen design and in that time I've designed kitchens of all shapes, sizes, styles and colours. They may all look very different, but what they all have in common is excellent design – something I'm passionate about.
Unlike many kitchen designers, I won’t simply recreate the layout you already have in your kitchen, or take a formulaic approach to your new extension. I'll listen to your ideas, look at your space with fresh eyes, come up with ideas you would never have thought of, and even suggest moving a window or door if it improves the way your kitchen design will work.

Discover how I work
Discover
The first thing we need to do is to share ideas.
I need to discover what you want to achieve with your project; your tastes and style; how you plan to use the space and your requirements for appliances and kitchen storage. I can give you the benefit of my experience and make suggestions for your kitchen design you may not have thought about.
You also need to discover what I can offer. You can explore my showroom and see examples of the kitchens. Look through the samples of doors and worktops and find the ones that excite you. Leaf through catalogues for ideas and inspiration for textures and finishes, and appliances.
Define
Once we are overflowing with ideas, it’s time to start narrowing things down. We’ll review the samples you’ve selected and your wish list, and with your project’s main goals in mind I’ll help you to define the ideas you’d like me to develop further.
This will be the time we talk about your budget too, to avoid wasting time and to make sure the cost is realistic for you.
The Discover and Define steps take place in the showroom near Milton Keynes, and combine to form the initial consultation. It takes about an hour and is by appointment. Contact me to book an appointment.
Develop
Following on from our initial consultation I will either visit your home to take measurements or use your architect's plans, and get to work developing a unique kitchen design, specifically tailored for you. This will be very much a first draft - a prototype that allows for feedback and changes. Don't be afraid to criticise or ask for amendments at this stage - it's really important that we get it right and that it becomes your dream kitchen.
At this stage I will also be able to give you a guide on cost.
Deliver
Once we have agreed and finalised all the changes I will produce the finished plan and final cost. Then once you are happy, you can place the order.
A good kitchen design is one that works just for you, and this can only be achieved if I really get to know you. That's why I'm always happy to spend time with you to make sure we get it right.

The DISCOVER kitchen interior design showroom is located in a beautiful setting in Aspley Guise, just 15 minutes from central Milton Keynes. I'm five minutes from Junction 13 of the M1 and in easy reach of Bedford, Ampthill, Woburn Sands, Newport Pagnell, Olney, Leighton Buzzard, Buckingham, Aylesbury and Northampton. I cover Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire.
